The CrystalView™ DVI Plus Advantage
The CrystalView DVI Plus is the KVM extender of choice for businesses that need to extend and operate a computer, server, or KVM switch from a great distance. You can fully operate and control a computer or server, and your USB peripherals from as far away as 1/4 mile using 50/125 µ multimode fiber. The CrystalView DVI Plus supports all combinations of DVI-D monitors, video cards, and USB 2.0 transparent devices.
The extenders support DVI graphical interfaces in an uncompressed mode. The uncompressed transfer of DVI data results in a display with no picture corruption or frame dropping at full speed. Video movements are smooth even at the highest resolution.
The system consists of two units; a transmitter and a receiver. The transmitter connects to your CPU’s USB port and DVI-D monitor connector. The receiver connects to a USB keyboard, USB mouse, DVI-D video monitor and USB 2.0 devices (cameras, printers, scanners). The transmitter and receiver are connected together with fiber cable. The receiver can be up to 1/4 mile from the transmitter using 50/125µ Multimode-Fiber. If your system requires dual video, the CrystalView DVI Plus dual video model can fully support it.
CrystalView DVI Plus basics
The CrystalView DVI Plus system consists of a transmitter that connects to a PC, or server and a receiver that connects to a USB keyboard, DVI monitor, and USB mouse. Additional, USB 2.0 compliant devices such as a USB printer or camera can be connected to the receiver unit. The transmitter and receiver units are connected together with up to 1/4 miles of standard multimode fiber cable.
Models
The CrystalView DVI Plus is available in three different models to meet your system application requirements. Two single link models and one dual link model. All models support USB keyboards and mice, DVI video, and USB 2.0 compliant devices. The dual video model is available for systems that need to digitally transmit a second video source.
Installation
Installing the CrystalView DVI Plus units is as easy as connecting the KVM station and USB devices to the receiver, connecting the computer to the transmitter, and connecting the transmitter to the receiver with fiber cable.
